WQCAS (World Quality Certification Accreditation Services) is a private, non-profit, distribution company incorporated in Indiana, USA.
WQCAS is self-financing and charges conformity assessment bodies to cover operational and other expenses.
WQCAS audits voluntary third party certification bodies according to ISO/IEC 17020 standard to accredit Management Systems according to ISO/IEC 17021, Conformity Assessment of Personnel according to ISO/IEC 17024 standard.
Our accreditations give confidence to the work of testing, inspection and certification bodies that need assessment services in many sectors of the economy. With an accreditation, we confirm that these organizations can carry out their business competently and in accordance with the requirements of internationally valid standards, legal bases and relevant rules. This is our legal mandate. With our accreditations, we help make products, processes and services safer and simplify trade in Europe and around the world in the interests of the nation and the economy, protecting society and the environment.
WQCAS trains and delivers auditing as an independent service. Except for the certification authorities, it does not carry out any certification activities especially for the end user.
The accreditation activity specifies the conditions that will ensure that the applicants of the certification bodies are reliable, consistent, transparent and traceable.
WQCAS was created as an alternative to quality certification, which takes place mostly in the management of states that are under the control of politics. This monopoly situation is against the principles of independence and impartiality, which are at the core of the concept of accreditation.
WQCAS accreditation provides assurance of the competence, impartiality and integrity of conformity assessment bodies. WQCAS approved certification, testing, inspection and calibration reduces the need for suppliers to be evaluated by each customer.
